Welcome to Mary Lou Meals!  I’m so excited your life’s journey has brought you here!

For me, Mary Lou Meals is very much a passion project!  After a serious bout with cancer in 2008-2009, I really recognized the critical connection between health and diet!  And over the next several years I tried every healthy eating program I could find for me and my family.  We ran into the same problems over and over again.  The programs were too hard to follow and the food just didn’t taste good!  Eating felt like a chore instead of a joy.

 

A few years ago, I was introduced to an anti-inflammation diet.  Essentially, it was gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined-sugar-free.  We started trying a few things and we were surprised that they tasted good and the preparation time was very reasonable.  Most importantly, we started to notice a change in how we felt.

Fast forward to now.  We’ve completely adopted this way of eating.  I’ve invested my time learning about healthy substitute ingredients and I’ve developed the ability to take virtually any recipe and make it healthy – gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined-sugar-free.  The food tastes amazing!  Our extended family members request the food!  Our friends love the food!  And most importantly we feel great, with less inflammation and more energy each day.

 

So I am passionate about empowering you and your family to experience a healthier, more active way of life.  I’ll make it easy for you with simple recipes, cooking videos, and other informational videos.
